Mrs. K's Corner

Welcome to my classroom :)

My name is Mrs. Leslie Keylich, I was born on Shaw Air Force Base in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I came to San Antonio, Texas when I was six months old courtesy of a change in assigned bases for my father.

I have attended three different colleges in my educational career, and have obtained a degree from each one. I attended Palo Alto College in San Antonio and graduated with an Associate's Degree in Science, from there I went to Texas A&M University in Kingsville, Texas where I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Elementary Education with a specialization in Special Education, from there I attended the University of Phoenix graduating with a Master's Degree in Education in the area of Curriculum and Instruction.

My personal love of education was started in the fourth grade with Mrs. Anderson, my teacher. She made education and learning fun along with the belief that we could do anything we put our minds too, and she was right. However I did deviate from the original plan for a little while, but came back to where I knew I belonged, in the classroom igniting the light of education in my students.

Currently I am teaching the areas of reading and math in the resource classroom and in the inclusive setting for the fifth grade. This year in the classroom, I have added the use of various websites, which you will find listed at the bottom of the page, into our center rotations,.
